The Himalayan Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities maintains a strict stance against plagiarism and publication malpractices. Authors must ensure the originality of their work before submission. Manuscripts are checked for similarity using iThenticate (Turnitin) software provided by Crossref Metadata since 2021.
Authorship Responsibility
- All listed authors must have contributed substantially (data collection, analysis, supervision, writing, etc.).
- Gift or honorary authorship is strictly discouraged.
- Each author shares responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the manuscript.
Conflict of Interest
- Authors and reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest that may affect the research, review, or decision-making process.
Use of Secondary Data
- All secondary data, borrowed ideas, or materials must be acknowledged properly.
- Authors must comply with copyright laws and obtain permissions where necessary.
Editorial Action on Misconduct
- If plagiarism, data manipulation, duplicate submission, or other unethical practices are detected, the manuscript will be rejected or published papers retracted.
- Authors guilty of malpractice may be barred from publishing in the journal for up to five years.
